Will I be treated by a man or a woman?
We have both male and female therapists working at Aigburth Physiotherapy. If you have a preference regarding who you would rather be treated by, please let us know when you call to book your appointment and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
What should I wear for my appointment?
To ensure the best patient care we need to be able to assess your full range of movement. Please wear underwear that you are comfortable with or bring along shorts but do be aware that for the most accurate levels of assessment we need to see your spine, upper and lower limbs.
What will happen on my first visit?
Your first appointment will take the form of a consultation and assessment.
We will ask you background questions, to find out how the problem started and to find out about your symptoms. We will establish approximately how many treatments you will need. We will provide you with relevant information, based on our assessment findings as well as information leaflets to take away, where appropriate.
Please be aware that you are unlikely to receive a great deal of treatment in your first session (but dress appropriately just in case you do).
How long will my appointment last?
Your initial appointment/assessment will take between 30mins and 1hour. Follow-up appointments usually take approximately 30-45mins. Patients will be provided with exercise leaflets to take home, where appropriate.
