Janet WigginsSenior Physiotherapist & Practice Director

Janet founded Aigburth Physiotherapy in 1992, and has more than 30 years experience working within the profession. After qualifying from the Liverpool School of Physiotherapy in 1983, she began her career working within the NHS.

Here she worked for over 15 years within The Royal Liverpool Hospital, Wigan Royal Infirmary, Whiston Hospital and St Helens Health Authority. She is a member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and also the private practitioners association Physio First. In addition, Janet also works closely with a number of Aigburth Physiotherapy’s corporate clients. Here she provides work place assessments, focused around industry occupational health and ergonomics. She also works for a number of sporting organisations including the City of Liverpool Swimming Club. As of October 2012 Janet was appointed as the official team physiotherapist for the Mersey Tigers basketball team. In 2002 she was also chosen to attend the Manchester Commonwealth Games, as part of the medical team within the athletes village.

Nicola GrieveSenior Physiotherapist

Nicola qualified in 2004 from Huddersfield University then spent 5 years at the Royal Liverpool Hospital as a rotational physiotherapist. She started working in private practice in 2009 when she specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy particularly the upper limbs. Nicola is also trained in acupuncture.

Niamh O'KellySenior Physiotherapist

Niamh qualified from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 1996, and has since worked full time within the NHS as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She has been covering the evening clinics at Aigburth Physiotherapy for 10 years.

Connie SantaromitaSports Therapist

Already NVQ Level 3, Connie is working towards BTEC Level 5 in sports massage. Connie can use sports massage to help prevent injuries, prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain optimal condition. She also helps athletes recover from workouts and injuries. Connie is able to tailor treatment to ease problem areas and improve performance by increasing mobility and flexibility.
